BuTech Valves, Tubings, Fittings
Ball valves are available in 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way designs with pressures to 20,000 PSI (1,380 bar) at 72°F (22°C) and a wide range of connections including male and female NPT, low-pressure compression fittings, medium- and high-pressure tube ends, medium- and high-pressure female, JIC 37° flare, SAE O-ring boss, socket-weld, butt-weld, and metric connections. They are available with special seal materials or manufactured from any machinable material for extreme applications. They also can be fitted with pneumatic or electric actuators for remote control.

Needle Valves – Low, Medium and High Pressure with pressure ratings to 150,000 psi (1030 bar), are designed for liquid and gas flow control in petroleum, chemical, power generating and general industrial applications. Available in a variety of body styles, the valves are designed for operation at temperatures ranging from -100° to +600°F (-73° to +315°C). Optional packings and/or extended stuffing boxes increase the range to -423° to +1200°F (-253° to +648°C).
Note:BuTech Pressure Systems does not recommend compression sleeve connections below 0°F (-18°C) or above 650°F (343°C).
BuTech Check Ball Valves are used to prevent reverse flow in a line. The Ball Check Valves are ideal when leak tight shut-off is not necessary. This valve uses no elastomers and employs a metal to metal seal. The temperature range for the Ball Check Valves is -420° F to 1200° F (-251° C to 648° C).
O-Ring Check Valves reliably prevent backflow where leak-tight shutoff off of liquids or gases is required. The standard construction uses a Buna-N o-ring, the O-Ring Check Valve is also available with the following O-rings: Viton, Teflon and Kalrez. Temperature ranges for the O-Ring Check Valve are: Buna-N -65° to 250° F (-54° to 121° C); Viton -40° to 500° F (-40° to 260° C); Teflon -320° to 400° F (-195O to 204° C); Kalrez -25° to 550° F (-29° to 288° C).
All BuTech Check Valves have a default cracking pressure of 15 psi. Cracking pressures available up to 100 psi (7 bar). To order the valve with a different cracking pressure, indicate your desired cracking pressure at time of order or when submitting an RFQ. Standard materials of construction are 316 stainless steel with 300 series stainless steel spring. Note: For 316 stainless steel wetted parts, add -316WP to the catalog number.
Manufactured to meet the requirements of NACE MR0175, API Spec 6A & 17D, ASME, ANSI and various others, BuTech subsea valves are externally sealed design for depths to 14,000 feet (4200 meters). API 6A, 19th ed., ISO 10423:2003 PR2, Annex F/PSL3G qualified valves are available.
BuTech subsea valves are internally pressure tested to at least 50% over rated pressure and externally tested to 14,000’ (4200 Meters) depth, having a typical service life guarantee of 25 years and offer the highest quality and most reliable performance for pressure control systems, throughout the entire life of the subsea structure. They ensure trouble-free operation with hydrogen sulfides, corrosion inhibitors, paraffin thinners, hydraulic fluids and other harsh chemicals.
BuTech subsea valves are manufactured from a variety of stainless steel materials, most common are 316 and Super Duplex. However, Butech valves and fittings can be manufactured from virtually all machinable alloys.
BuTech subsea valves meet performance, safety and reliability expectations in the deepest water and some of the harshest environments in teh offshore oil and gas industry. As wells have vecome deeper BuTech has been a leader at developing new and innovative ways to control the increasing temperature and pressure requirements as these greater depths.
Double Block and Bleed Valves
Double Block and Bleed Valves are space saving valves that eliminate the need for large and complicated multi-valve systems. BuTech double block and bleed valves can meet pressures to 20,000 PSI (1380 bar) at 72°F (22°C). Boasting a compact design, they come available with needle or ball valves, or a combination of both, manual lever or actuator activated. Benefits are minimized leakage points, reduced installation costs and maintenance requirements, as the valves allow sections of a piping system to be isolated for maintenance, with a drain valve between them, insuring that unwanted pressure doesn’t get into the section being serviced.
BuTech double block and bleed valves can be configured to connect up to most sizes of tubing with all connection styles. Double block and bleed valves are primarily made from 316 stainless steel; however they can be machined from other machineable alloys with special seal materials to meet your specific needs. Standard materials include: Monel, Haskelloy, Titanium, Inconel, and Bronze.

Fittings (Elbows, Tees, Crosses, Bulkheads)
BuTech offers a complete line of Elbows, Tees, Crosses, and Bulkhead fittings, manufactured from 316 cold-worked stainless steel. Also available for subsea service and sour gas service.
Couplings and Adapters
BuTech offers a complete line of adapters and couplings, to connect different sizes and pressure rating of tubing and pipe. Standard construction is 316 cold – worked stainless steel. When looking for an adapter, the male connection is Connection 1, if both connections are male or both are female, use the highest pressure as connection 1. If you are unable to find an adapter, try reversing the selections between connection 1 and connection 2.
BuTech nipples are sections of tubing or pipe cut to length with cones (if appropriate) and threads cut into them. The standard materials of construction for nipples are 304 and 316 stainless steel, however other materials are available, please contact your local distributor or the factory for more information. The standard lengths for nipples are 2.75”, 3”, 4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12”. Custom lengths between 3” and 20’ are also available.
Accessories (Filters, Safety Heads)
Butech offers two different styles of filters, the Line Filter and the Sintered Cup Filter. Standard materials of construction are a 316 stainless steel body with 300 series filter elements.
Butech safety head assemblies serve as a holder for rupture discs. Safety heads with rupture discs are used a sample and inexpensive overpressure relief devices. System pressure is relieved as a result of a rupture of the disc.
